Fiber Core steel wire rope is composed of a fiber core in the middle of the steel wire rope. It is represented by FC.

Compared with metal core steel wire rope, fiber core steel wire rope has the characteristics of softness, corrosion resistance and more oil storage.

There are 2 types of Fiber core : Natural fiber core and Synthetic fiber core.

Natural core steel wire ropes use natural fiber rope cores such as jute, sisal, etc. This kind of rope core has a lot of oil storage, the steel wire rope is soft and not resistant to corrosion;

Synthetic core steel wire rope is a fiber core made of chemical synthetic materials, such as polyethylene, polypropylene, nylon, etc. This kind of rope core has less oil storage, and the steel wire rope is hard and corrosion resistant.

What is the difference between a steel core and a fiber core

1. The steel core wire rope of the same diameter has a larger breaking force than a fiber core wire rope, and the load it bears is also larger;
